    Eno Benjamin Claimed By Saints

The New Orleans Saints claimed running back Eno Benjamin off of waivers on Wednesday. Benjamin appeared in games for the Arizona Cardinals and Houston Texans this year but was ultimately waived by both teams. The third-year back impressed early in the season when starting in place of an injured James Conner, so it is possible he earns some playing time for the Saints down the stretch with Mark Ingram II (knee) placed on Injured Reserve. Still, Benjamin shouldn't be viewed as anything more than a dynasty or deep-league stash for the time being.

    Texans Waive Eno Benjamin Tuesday

The Houston Texans waived running back Eno Benjamin on Tuesday, according to a source. Benjamin saw his first action with the Texans in the Week 14 loss to the Dallas Cowboys, carrying the ball three times for one yards on just eight offensive snaps. Rookie standout Dameon Pierce (ankle) suffered a mild high-ankle sprain on Sunday and could miss one to two games, so with Benjamin now out of the picture, Rex Burkhead and Dare Ogunbowale would see expanded roles in Houston's backfield this weekend against the Kansas City Chiefs if Pierce is inactive. Benjamin began the year with the Arizona Cardinals and has 73 combined carries for 300 yards and two touchdowns, adding 24 catches for 184 yards in 12 games (three starts) in 2022. He'll look to latch on with another team for the final four weeks of the regular season.

Texans Claim Eno Benjamin Off Waivers From Cardinals

The Houston Texans claimed former Arizona Cardinals running back Eno Benjamin off waivers on Tuesday, according to his agents, Drew and Jason Rosenhaus. The Cardinals surprisingly waived Benjamin on Tuesday, and the Texans have quickly scooped him up as backfield insurance behind impressive rookie Dameon Pierce. Benjamin started in Weeks 6-8 with James Conner injured and had 36 carries for 151 yards and one touchdown, adding 11 catches (15 targets) for 72 additional yards. The 23-year-old could eventually become the primary handcuff option for fantasy managers that have Pierce rostered, but he'll have to surpass both Rex Burkhead and Dare Ogunbowale on Houston's RB depth chart first. The 23-year-old remains only worth stashing in much deeper fantasy leagues.

    Cardinals Release Eno Benjamin

In a surprise move, the Arizona Cardinals have informed running back Eno Benjamin, who filled in as the starter when James Conner was hurt this year, that they are releasing him on Monday, according to a source. With Conner back healthy, Benjamin played just one offensive snap in the win over the Los Angeles Rams on Sunday. In his three starts with Conner injured from Weeks 6-8, Benjamin had 36 carries for 151 yards and a touchdown and added 11 receptions for 72 yards as a plug-and-play RB2 for fantasy managers. He'll look to sign with another team, but there's a good chance he won't be fantasy relevant like he was in Arizona. Darrel Williams (hip) is on Injured Reserve, so rookie Keaontay Ingram will serve as Conner's backfield for now.

Eno Benjamin Dealing With Foot Injury

Arizona Cardinals running back Eno Benjamin (foot) was listed as a limited participant on Monday's estimated practice report. Benjamin got the start in the Week 6 loss to the Seattle Seahawks and played a season-high 87 percent of the offensive snaps with both James Conner (ribs) and Darrel Williams (knee) sidelined. He saw a team-high 15 carries for 37 yards and caught all three of his targets for 28 yards. It doesn't appear that Benjamin is in serious danger of missing the Week 7 meeting with the New Orleans Saints on Thursday night, and with Conner and Williams both potentially missing another game, Benjamin could have RB2 upside for one more week. The team's other backs are Keaontay Ingram and Corey Clement. Ingram had three carries for seven yards on Sunday.
