The Detroit Lions waived kicker Austin Seibert (groin) on Friday, so Michael Badgley will do the kicking for the team in Week 5 against the New England Patriots. Seibert missed last week's loss to the Seattle Seahawks and missed three of his five field-goal attempts in his first three games this year. The Lions are moving on to Badgley, starting this Sunday against New England. The 27-year-old made all four of his field-goal attempts with the Chicago Bears last week in the loss to the New York Giants, and now he'll try to stick with Detroit. The Lions offense has surprisingly been one of the best in the league through four weeks, but fantasy managers should be looking for other kicking options in Week 5.

Austin Seibert Back At Practice Wednesday
Detroit Lions kicker Austin Seibert (groin) was a limited practice participant on Wednesday after missing the Week 4 loss to the Seattle Seahawks due to a right groin injury. It's a step in the right direction after he didn't practice at all last week before being inactive on Sunday. As long as the 25-year-old doesn't suffer a setback on Thursday or Friday, he'll have a good chance of returning to kick against the New England Patriots in Week 5. Through three games, Seibert has found himself on the streaming radar in fantasy because of the fact that the Lions offense is averaging a league-high 35.0 points so far. If he's active in Week 5, Seibert will be back on the streaming radar against New England.

Austin Seibert Won't Kick Against Seahawks
Detroit Lions kicker Austin Seibert (groin) didn't practice all week and has officially been ruled out of Week 4 against the Seattle Seahawks. Fantasy managers that were planning to stream the 25-year-old in a good matchup this Sunday will now have to look for other kicking options. The Lions will likely roll with Dominik Eberle, who has kicked in one career NFL game with the Houston Texans in 2021. Detroit's offense has been surprisingly strong through the first three games this year, but they'll also be missing their best two playmakers due to injuries this weekend in running back D'Andre Swift (ankle, shoulder) and receiver Amon-Ra St. Brown (ankle). You should be looking to avoid Eberle on Sunday.

Austin Seibert Doesn't Practice On Thursday
Detroit Lions kicker Austin Seibert (groin) was unable to practice on Thursday. This marks back-to-back days that Seibert has been unable to practice due to a lingering groin issue. However, Lions special teams coordinator Dave Fipp mentioned that Seibert should be able to play through the issue. The 25-year-old does have some streaming value, but the fact he's banged up does make him a risky option. Dominik Eberle would likely get promoted from the practice squad, assuming Seibert sits out.
