Miles Sanders Good To Go Against Giants

Philadelphia Eagles running back Miles Sanders (knee) was a full participant in Friday's practice and was removed from the final Week 18 injury report. He will suit up in Sunday's regular season finale against the New York Giants. In a game the Eagles need to win in order to secure a first-round bye in the NFC postseason as the top overall seed, Sanders and the rest of the starters will be on display and available to fantasy managers still fighting for a fantasy title this week. The 25-year-old could also be getting starting quarterback Jalen Hurts (shoulder) back from a two-game absence, which would make Philly's offense more explosive. With a lot of players being too risky to rely on in Week 18, Sanders is an exception and should see a reliable amount of touches against New York.

    Miles Sanders Limited On Thursday

Philadelphia Eagles running back Miles Sanders (knee) was a limited participant during Thursday's practice. He played through a knee issue last week and finished with 61 yards on 12 rushing attempts. Sanders has been limited in practice the last two days, but should be fine for the Week 18 matchup against the New York Giants. Fantasy managers should check back on Friday for another update on his status. Sanders should be considered a high-end RB2 against a Giants team that is likely to rest many of their starters.

Jalen Hurts, Miles Sanders Limited Wednesday

Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts (shoulder) and running back Miles Sanders (knee) were both limited in Wednesday's walkthrough practice. After missing the last two games due to a right shoulder sprain, Hurts is trending towards returning in Week 18 against the New York Giants. The Eagles must win in order to secure the No. 1 seed in the NFC and a first-round bye in the playoffs. The 24-year-old has been the most valuable fantasy QB this year, but he could be rusty and/or face restrictions if he's active this weekend. Continue to keep a close eye on his practice status this week. Sanders played a season-low 40 percent of the offensive snaps last Sunday, but he should continue to serve as Philly's lead back against the Giants and will be in play as a strong RB2 choice in Week 18.

Miles Sanders Good To Go Against Saints

Philadelphia Eagles running back Miles Sanders (knee) put in a full practice on Friday and will enter Sunday's Week 17 meeting with the New Orleans Saints without an injury designation. Sanders was rested on Wednesday and was limited in practice on Thursday. Philly will be without MVP candidate Jalen Hurts (shoulder) for a second straight game, giving Sanders more fantasy upside. Last week in the loss to the Dallas Cowboys, the 25-year-old had 21 carries for 65 yards, only the third time in 2022 that he's seen 20-plus totes. The Saints defense has been around middle of the pack in terms of average fantasy points allowed to opposing RBs, but Sanders' guaranteed volume this weekend should make him a strong RB2 play.

Miles Sanders Returns To Thursday's Practice

Philadelphia Eagles running back Miles Sanders (knee) is back at practice on Thursday after he was a non-participant at Wednesday's practice. The Eagles were likely giving Sanders a day to rest on Wednesday. It's unclear if he was limited or full on Thursday, but the fact that he was back on the field is a good sign that he'll be fine for his normal role as Philly's backfield leader in Week 17 against the New Orleans Saints. With quarterback Jalen Hurts (shoulder) sidelined, the Eagles made it a point to keep Sanders heavily involved in last week's loss to the Dallas Cowboys, as he had 21 carries for 65 yards on the ground. Expect more of the same this weekend if Hurts misses a second straight game. Sanders should be considered a strong RB2 choice for fantasy managers.

Miles Sanders Sits Out Of Wednesday's Practice

Philadelphia Eagles running back Miles Sanders (knee) was a DNP at Wednesday's practice. Sanders played just over 50 percent of the team's offensive snaps in last week's loss to the Dallas Cowboys, carrying the ball 21 times for 65 yards while also snagging his only target for a six-yard gain through the air. It was nice to see him go over 20 carries for the first time since Week 12 after he had just 11 in Week 15. There hasn't been any indication that the 25-year-old's injury is that serious, so as long as he practices in the next couple of days, he should be able to suit up to face the New Orleans Saints on Sunday. Sanders has been much more productive this year than last and currently ranks as the RB11 in half-point PPR scoring.

Eagles Want To Use Miles Sanders More

Philadelphia Eagles head coach Nick Sirianni admitted that he didn't use running back Miles Sanders enough in the Week 15 win over the Chicago Bears. He began Sunday just 15 yards behind Saquon Barkley for the NFC rushing lead, but Sanders didn't get his first touch until well into the second quarter, the first time this year he didn't carry the ball in the first quarter. Sanders finished the game with only 11 carries for 42 yards. "We've got to get him the ball more," Sirianni said. The 25-year-old ranks fifth in the league in rushing with 1,110 yards. He's also fifth with 11 rushing TDs and second among RBs with a 5.2 rushing average. Sanders killed fantasy managers in Week 15, but he should be much more involved going forward, especially with rushing QB Jalen Hurts (shoulder) potentially missing a few games.

Miles Sanders Expected To Play In Week 4

Philadelphia Eagles running back Miles Sanders (hip) was able to practice in full on Thursday. It doesn't sound like the hip injury is serious, so Sanders should be able to suit up in Week 4. He saw 15 carries last week, but only managed 46 yards on the ground. He'll be a low-end RB2 for the Week 4 matchup against the Jacksonville Jaguars. His value is based off his volume, which is often times difficult to predict going into the game.

Miles Sanders Will Play In Week 1

Philadelphia Eagles running back Miles Sanders (hamstring) said he "absolutely" is ready to go and will play in Week 1 against the Detroit Lions on Sunday in the regular season opener. Sanders was able to practice in full on Wednesday, so he appears ready to go entering the weekend. The 25-year-old didn't help his fantasy stock in training camp while working at times with the second-string offense. Head coach Nick Sirianni still considers Sanders the team's lead back, but he'll continue to cede valuable touches to Kenneth Gainwell, Boston Scott and possibly newcomer Trey Sermon. Sanders failed to find the end zone at all in 2021 and has been slowed by injuries early in his career, making him a low-ceiling RB3/flex to open the 2022 campaign.

Eagles Not Worried About Miles Sanders

Philadelphia Eagles head coach Nick Sirianni said his level of concern about running back Miles Sanders (hamstring) is "not high." Sirianni said that every player, including Sanders, will have some level of participation in practice on Wednesday. Sanders was able to return to practice last week, so barring some sort of setback, he should be good to go for Week 1 of the regular season against the Detroit Lions on the road. The 25-year-old failed to find the end zone in 2021 and continues to deal with injuries early in his career, which could lead to a frustrating backfield committee in Philly this year alongside Kenneth Gainwell, Boston Scott and perhaps even newcomer Trey Sermon. Given his recent injury concerns, Sanders will be a shaky RB3/flex for fantasy managers in Week 1 against Detroit.

Miles Sanders Returns To Practice Thursday

Philadelphia Eagles running back Miles Sanders (hamstring) returned to practice on Thursday for the first time in two-plus weeks. It's good news, but there's still no recovery timetable for the 25-year-old. It's concerning with the start of the regular season just over a week away. We'll have a better idea of his status entering Week 1 against the Detroit Lions. Even if Sanders is active next week, there's a good chance he'll be limited or spelled more often by Kenneth Gainwell and Boston Scott. After not scoring a single touchdown in 2021, the injury-prone Sanders continues to fall on fantasy draft boards. If you haven't had your draft yet, Sanders is a shaky RB3/flex choice.

    Miles Sanders Still Not Practicing

Philadelphia Eagles running back Miles Sanders (hamstring) remained out of practice on Monday. Sanders has been out of practice for two-plus weeks, but he still has some time to get healthy before the Week 1 regular season opener against the Detroit Lions. But the 25-year-old's fantasy stock continues to fall after he disappointed with 754 rushing yards and no touchdowns on a career-low 137 carries in 12 games in 2021. When healthy, he's in line to be Philly's lead back, but Kenneth Gainwell and Boston Scott are on his heels for more playing time. If Sanders can't stay healthy, this Eagles backfield could turn into a full-fledged committee approach, which no fantasy managers wants to be a part of. As of right now, consider Sanders to be a plummeting RB3/flex option.

Miles Sanders Considered Eagles Lead Back

Philadelphia Eagles head coach Nick Sirianni has made it clear that running back Miles Sanders (hamstring) is the team's lead back, with Kenneth Gainwell and Boston Scott playing complementary roles. That's how it was in 2021 as well, but injuries cut into Sanders' production and allowed Gainwell to have a strong rookie season. If Sanders stays healthy and puts it all together, he could have a great year behind a strong offensive line. However, Sanders missed another training camp practice on Wednesday, and health and consistency have been tough for him so far in his career. Gainwell continues to gain fantasy steam with Sanders injured, even if he's expected to be ready for Week 1. Fantasy managers should consider Sanders a risk/reward RB3/flex play in upcoming drafts.

Optimism That Miles Sanders Will Be Ready For Week 1

Philadelphia Eagles running back Miles Sanders (hamstring) missed another training camp practice on Friday, but there is optimism that he'll be ready for the Week 1 season opener against the Detroit Lions. Sanders has been bothered by this injury before, though. "We are just being precautious with him," head coach Nick Sirianni said. "He had some tightness and soreness in it. Just being precautious with him and we'll see how it goes." The 25-year-old was effective with the ball in his hands last season, but he failed to find the end zone and is trying to hold off both Kenneth Gainwell and Boston Scott heading into the 2022 season. With his injury on top of it, Sanders is quickly becoming one to avoid as an RB3/flex in fantasy drafts.

Eagles Being Cautious With Miles Sanders

Philadelphia Eagles head coach Nick Sirianni said he's not going to get into the extent of running back Miles Sanders' hamstring injury, adding that Sanders has tightness and soreness and that the team is being "precautious with him." Sanders missed another training camp practice on Friday, but it sounds as though this isn't a long-term injury that will cause him to miss the start of the regular season. It's unlikely that the 25-year-old will play this Sunday in the second preseason game against the Cleveland Browns. Sanders had a career-high 5.5 yards per carry in 12 games in 2021, but he failed to find the end zone and will need to hold off Kenneth Gainwell and Boston Scott in Philly's backfield. Sanders' fantasy stock continues to fall as more of an RB3/flex.
