Noah Fant NEWS
Noah Fant, DeeJay Dallas Active Against Niners
Seattle Seahawks tight end Noah Fant (knee) and running back DeeJay Dallas (ankle, quadriceps) are both active for the wild-card game on Saturday against the San Francisco 49ers. Fant and Dallas were listed as questionable to play, but they'll both be active in a tough matchup against one of the best defenses in the NFL. Fant will be on the cheap side in DFS, but he's touchdown-dependent. In the two previous matchups against San Fran in 2022, he caught seven of his eight targets for 43 yards and one touchdown. Rookie Kenneth Walker III is the unquestioned lead back in Seattle's backfield, so there will be very few snaps and touches available for Dallas on Saturday. He should be avoided in playoff leagues in this one.
Jan 14, 2023 • 8:49 PM | RotoBallerNoah Fant No Longer On The Injury Report
Seattle Seahawks tight end Noah Fant (knee) was removed from the injury report on Thursday and will play on Saturday against the San Francisco 49ers. The fourth-year tight end turned in a lackluster year with just one game of more than 50 receiving yards and four touchdowns total. He did score against the 49ers in their last matchup while adding five catches for 32 yards. Having another weapon on the field is better for quarterback Geno Smith, but Fant's likelihood of turning in a good fantasy game is not very high.
Jan 13, 2023 • 4:03 AM | RotoBallerNoah Fant Back To Limited Practice Wednesday
Seattle Seahawks tight end Noah Fant (knee) returned to a limited practice on Wednesday after he sat out on Tuesday. Fant has been playing through a knee injury of late and should be fine to play this Saturday against the San Francisco 49ers. He finished with two touchdowns in the final four games of the season, including one against the Niners in Week 15. In the first meeting against San Fran in Week 2, Fant caught only two passes for 11 yards. The 25-year-old has been a touchdown-dependent TE2 streamer all year for fantasy managers, and that should continue into the postseason. Fant could also continue to lose some valuable targets to fellow tight end Colby Parkinson.
Jan 12, 2023 • 1:35 AM | RotoBallerNoah Fant, DeeJay Dallas Miss Practice
Seattle Seahawks tight end Noah Fant (knee) and running back DeeJay Dallas (ankle, quadriceps) were listed as non-participants on Tuesday's practice estimation. The team conducted a walkthrough. Fant and Dallas have been battling injuries late in the season, but they both should return to practice on either Wednesday or Thursday and should be active this Saturday for the wild-card game against the San Francisco 49ers. Neither player is particularly attractive in fantasy lineups against one of the best defenses in the NFL, but Fant could pay off as a low-cost TE sleeper in DFS games. The 25-year-old has scored twice in his last four games and has caught 13 passes for 104 yards in that span. Dallas played only 11 offensive snaps in Week 18 and is the clear backup to impressive rookie Kenneth Walker III.
Jan 11, 2023 • 4:11 AM | RotoBallerNoah Fant Doesn't Carry An Injury Designation
Seattle Seahawks tight end Noah Fant (knee) was removed from the final injury report on Friday and will play in the Week 18 regular season finale on Sunday against the division-rival Los Angeles Rams. Fant will be available for this must-win game, but fantasy managers considering using him as a touchdown-dependent TE2 shouldn't forget about Colby Parkinson's added usage as the team's top-targeted tight end in the Week 17 win over the New York Jets. The 25-year-old Fant will continue to have a role, but he'll probably need to find the end zone in order to return value in DFS and single-year leagues. He enters the weekend as the TE17 in half-point PPR scoring with 46 receptions on 59 targets for 466 yards and four touchdowns in 16 games. Fant caught four passes for 42 yards and a TD in the first meeting against the Rams in Week 13.
Jan 6, 2023 • 10:31 PM | RotoBallerNoah Fant Puts In Limited Practice Thursday
Seattle Seahawks tight end Noah Fant (knee) was limited in Thursday's practice after he was listed as a non-participant on Wednesday. Fant is trending in the right direction to play in a must-win Week 18 divisional clash against the Los Angeles Rams on Sunday. The 25-year-old has been playing through his knee injury for a few weeks but hasn't been limited at all on game days. Fant was second on the team in receiving yards (40) in last week's win over the Jets, but fellow tight end Colby Parkinson was targeted a team-high seven times and caught five of them for 36 yards and a touchdown. Given Seattle's banged-up backfield and with receiver Tyler Lockett (finger, shin) hurt, both Fant and Parkinson could see more involvement in the passing attack this weekend. Still, Fant will be a touchdown-dependent option at the position in DFS and season-long leagues.
Jan 6, 2023 • 1:34 AM | RotoBallerNoah Fant Absent From Wednesday's Practice
Seattle Seahawks tight end Noah Fant (knee) didn't practice on Wednesday. The 25-year-old has been dealing with a knee injury for the last few weeks but has yet to miss a game. He will have two more chances to practice ahead of Sunday's game against the Rams. Fant logged 45 snaps and caught two of three targets for 40 yards in the Week 17 win over the Jets. Colby Parkinson has surpassed Fant on the tight end depth chart, playing 80% of the snaps in Week 17 and reeling in five catches for 36 yards and a touchdown. Fant is considered a borderline TE2 against a Rams defense that ranks 15th in DVOA against opposing tight ends.
Jan 5, 2023 • 2:41 AM | RotoBallerNoah Fant Good To Go In Week 17
Seattle Seahawks tight end Noah Fant (knee) was removed from the injury report ahead of Sunday's game against the New York Jets, meaning he will play. He didn't practice on Wednesday but did take part in Thursday's session, albeit in a limited capacity, so he appeared to be trending in this direction all along. The 25-year-old has played fantastic recently, catching a touchdown in three of Seattle's previous four contests. While he isn't a lock to produce, his upside is higher than other tight ends around the National Football League, giving him streaming potential for fantasy managers in Week 17.
Dec 31, 2022 • 4:55 PM | RotoBallerNoah Fant Upgraded To Limited Thursday
Seattle Seahawks tight end Noah Fant (knee) was a limited participant during Thursday's practice. This was an improvement after he missed practice on Wednesday. The 25-year-old has looked solid lately, catching 17 passes for 250 yards and three touchdowns over the course of his last seven games. He's in line for an even larger role moving forward after fellow tight end Will Dissly (knee) was placed on injured reserve. Assuming Fant plays against the Jets in Week 17, consider him a high-end TE2.
Dec 30, 2022 • 2:10 AM | RotoBallerNoah Fant Questionable Against The Chiefs
Seattle Seahawks tight end Noah Fant (knee) is listed as questionable for Saturday's game against the Kanas City Chiefs. The former Denver Bronco didn't practice this week due to a knee issue and his status for the Christmas Eve game is uncertain. He has caught 42 passes for 414 yards and three touchdowns over 14 games in 2022. Fantasy managers will know the 25-year-old's official status an hour and a half before the 1:00 p.m. ET kickoff. Will Dissly would see an uptick in targets if Fant cannot suit up against the Chiefs in Week 16.
Dec 23, 2022 • 3:07 PM | RotoBallerNoah Fant Misses Practice On Tuesday
Seattle Seahawks tight end Noah Fant (knee) missed practice on Tuesday with a knee injury. It's the first time he's popped up on the injury report with this issue, so it's hard to know the severity. The Seahawks use multiple tight ends throughout each game, but the 25-year-old has scored in two of the past three weeks. Additionally, the team will be without wide receiver Tyler Lockett (finger) on Saturday, creating more opportunity for the other pass-catchers in the offense. If he cannot suit up, Will Dissly would be the immediate beneficiary, along with the remaining wide receivers, DK Metcalf and Marquise Goodwin, and the running backs, Kenneth Walker III (ankle) and Travis Homer.
Dec 21, 2022 • 2:02 PM | RotoBallerNoah Fant Will Play Against Cardinals
Seattle Seahawks tight end Noah Fant (hamstring) put in a full practice on Friday and was removed from the final injury report. He will be ready to play on Sunday for a Week 9 contest against the Arizona Cardinals. Fant has done very little for fantasy managers in his first year in Seattle, catching 22 of his 28 targets for just 176 yards and one touchdown in eight games. Part of the reason is Will Dissly's presence, and that won't change this weekend, which makes Fant a low-upside, touchdown-dependent TE2 in deeper fantasy leagues. The 24-year-old won't carry much fantasy intrigue unless one of receivers DK Metcalf and/or Tyler Lockett miss time with injury.
Nov 5, 2022 • 12:18 AM | RotoBallerNoah Fant Remains Limited Thursday
Seattle Seahawks tight end Noah Fant (hamstring) was a limited participant in Thursday's practice. He has now practiced in a limited capacity in back-to-back days. The 24-year-old will have one more chance to log a full practice ahead of Sunday's game against the Arizona Cardinals. He has 22 catches for 176 yards and one touchdown over eight games in 2022. Fant is a borderline streaming option in deep leagues in a plus matchup against a Cardinals defense that ranks 31st in DVOA against opposing tight ends.
Nov 4, 2022 • 12:48 PM | RotoBallerNoah Fant Limited Wednesday
Seattle Seahawks tight end Noah Fant (hamstring) was a limited participant in Wednesday's practice. He is dealing with a hamstring injury and will have two more chances to log a full practice before Sunday's contest against the Arizona Cardinals. The 24-year-old has posted modest production in his first full season with the Seahawks. He has caught 22 passes for 176 yards and a touchdown over eight games. Fant is considered a boom-or-bust streaming option against the Cardinals in Week 9.
Nov 3, 2022 • 2:00 AM | RotoBallerNoah Fant Limited On Wednesday
Seattle Seahawks tight end Noah Fant (illness) was a limited participant in Wednesday's practice. The 24-year-old was listed with an illness, but his ability to participate, albeit in a limited capacity, spells good things to come leading into Week 7. Fant is coming off of a Week 6 performance where he led the Seahawks in receiving. He'll look to continue his momentum against the Los Angeles Chargers if he's able to lose this illness by Sunday.
