Jaylen Waddle, Jeff Wilson Jr. Good To Go
Miami Dolphins wide receiver Jaylen Waddle (ankle) and running back Jeff Wilson Jr. (illness) both returned to full practices on Friday and have been removed from the injury report for wild-card weekend. They will both play on Sunday against the Buffalo Bills. Miami is probably going to be forced to rely on the arm of rookie quarterback Skylar Thompson often this weekend, but even then, fantasy managers should find it difficult to trust both Waddle and Tyreek Hill against a strong defense. Even with Raheem Mostert (thumb) being ruled out, Wilson will also be a hard-to-trust DFS RB with Thompson leading Miami's offense on the road in a hostile environment. Salvon Ahmed should back up Wilson in the backfield.

Jeff Wilson Jr. Upgraded To Full Participant
Miami Dolphins running back Jeff Wilson Jr. (illness) was a full participant in practice on Thursday, which has him trending in the right direction after only logging a limited session on Wednesday. Wilson was unable to play against the Buffalo Bills back in Week 15, so Sunday will be the first time this year he's faced their defense. Raheem Mostert (thumb) is still dealing with a fractured thumb and is in danger of missing this game, which means the bulk of the workload would fall on Wilson's shoulders. On top of that, since rookie Skylar Thompson is slated to start, they could rely on Wilson even more. Starting him in DFS or any other format still presents a big amount of risk, because the Bills could make this a high-scoring affair.

Jaylen Waddle, Jeff Wilson Jr. Limited Wednesday
Miami Dolphins wide receiver Jaylen Waddle (ankle) and running back Jeff Wilson Jr. (illness) were both limited in Wednesday's practice. It would be a big surprise if either Waddle or Wilson were unable to play this weekend against the Buffalo Bills in their wild-card matchup on Sunday. Waddle was the WR7 in half-point PPR scoring in his second NFL season and caught five passes for 44 yards in Week 18 against the New York Jets with rookie quarterback Skylar Thompson under center, but all of Miami's offensive skill players have real bust potential for fantasy managers with Thompson expected to make another start against Buffalo. Wilson could see a bigger role in the backfield if Raheem Mostert can't play through a fractured thumb, but he, too, should be faded in a difficult matchup.

Jeff Wilson Jr. Active In Week 16
Miami Dolphins running back Jeff Wilson Jr. (hip) is officially active for the Christmas Day meeting with Green Bay. The 27-year-old got banged up in Week 14 and subsequently missed the following contest with Buffalo. With Wilson back in the lineup, he will likely split work with Raheem Mostert, who had 136 yards off 17 carries against the Bills in Week 15. Although Mostert may get more touches than Wilson, both men should be considered nothing more than flex options in Week 16.

Jeff Wilson Jr. Listed As Questionable
Miami Dolphins running backs Jeff Wilson Jr. (hip) and Myles Gaskin (illness) are both listed as questionable to play on Christmas Day on Sunday against the Green Bay Packers in Week 16. Wilson was held out as a precaution in last week's loss to the Buffalo Bills, but he was limited in practice all of this week and is trending toward making his return this weekend. The last time Wilson saw double-digit carries was in Week 12 against the Texans, when he carried the ball 13 times for 39 yards and his fourth rushing TD of the season. If the 27-year-old is active on Sunday, he figures to split the backfield work with Raheem Mostert, who had 17 carries for 136 yards last Saturday, making both backs shaky RB3/flex options for fantasy purposes.

Jeff Wilson Jr. Hopeful To Play On Christmas Day
Miami Dolphins running back Jeff Wilson Jr. (hip) is feeling better this week and is hopeful to play in Week 16 against the Green Bay Packers on Christmas Day this Sunday. Apparently Wilson was very close to playing in last week's loss to the Buffalo Bills but was ultimately held out as a precaution. The 27-year-old returned to a limited practice on Wednesday, and barring a setback to close out the week, it's looking like he'll return to Miami's backfield to share touches with Raheem Mostert. With Wilson out last Saturday, Mostert had season-highs in rushing yards (136), scrimmage yards (156) and snaps (76 percent). Wilson's return against Green Bay would muddy the waters in Miami's backfield.

Jeff Wilson Jr. Limited On Wednesday
Miami Dolphins running back Jeff Wilson Jr. (hip) was a limited participant in Wednesday's practice. After being considered "close" to suiting up in Week 15 but eventually missing the game against the Buffalo Bills, the 27-year-old appears to be on the right track for Week 16 with an early appearance at practice. Wilson's limited participation is a good sign, but his situation is one to monitor throughout the week. If he plays against the Green Bay Packers, the fifth-year back will likely return to being a flex-level player in a committee alongside teammate Raheem Mostert.

Jeff Wilson Jr. Considered Day-To-Day
Miami Dolphins head coach Mike McDaniel said that running back Jeff Wilson Jr. (hip) was close to playing in the Week 15 loss to the Buffalo Bills on Saturday, and the team considers him day-to-day. Wilson injured his hip in Week 14 and was inactive for the first time this year on Saturday. With the 27-year-old out, Raheem Mostert led Miami's backfield with 17 carries for 136 yards while also catching one of his two targets for a 20-yard gain. We'll have to monitor Wilson's practice status this week, but he appears to have a good chance of returning to action on Christmas against the Green Bay Packers in Week 16. If Wilson is active, there's a good chance that he'll be sharing more of the backfield touches with Mostert, making him a shaky fantasy flex in what is the semifinals in most fantasy leagues.

Jeff Wilson Jr. Inactive For Week 15
Miami Dolphins running back Jeff Wilson Jr. (hip) was been officially ruled out for the Week 15 matchup against the Buffalo Bills. The 27-year-old was questionable coming into this contest due to hip discomfort. It sounds like Wilson has been improving, but not enough to suit up for this game. In his absence, Raheem Mostert should get a bulk of the carries in the backfield. The Dolphins should mix in Salvon Ahmed and Myles Gaskin as well, but Mostert is the best streaming option between the three backs.

Jeff Wilson Jr. Questionable For Week 15
Miami Dolphins running back Jeff Wilson Jr. (hip) is officially listed as questionable for the Week 15 matchup against the Buffalo Bills. He was able to get in a limited practice session on Thursday, but continues to deal with hip discomfort. It sounds like Wilson is improving, but it's unknown if he'll be healthy enough to suit up on Saturday. Otherwise, Raheem Mostert would likely see a majority of the carries in the Miami backfield. The expectation is that Salvon Ahmed and Myles Gaskins would be mixed in as well. However, Mostert would be the only back worth using as a flex play for Week 15.

Jeff Wilson Jr. Misses Another Practice
Miami Dolphins running back Jeff Wilson Jr. (hip) missed his second straight practice of the week on Wednesday. Wilson injured his hip in the Week 14 loss to the Los Angeles Chargers on Sunday night and is looking likely to sit out this weekend against the Buffalo Bills on Saturday unless he can return to practice on Thursday. If Wilson is unable to get the green light against Buffalo, Raheem Mostert would likely see the majority of the team's backfield touches, with Myles Gaskin and Salvon Ahmed combining to serve in a change-of-pace role. Mostert saw double-digit carries (11) last Sunday for the first time since Week 8 with Wilson going down with injury. If Wilson is out, Mostert will have more fantasy appeal, albeit in a tough matchup.

Jeff Wilson Jr. Listed As DNP Tuesday
Miami Dolphins running back Jeff Wilson Jr. (hip) was listed as a non-participant on Tuesday's estimated practice report. Wilson was injured in the Sunday night loss to the Los Angeles Chargers and is in danger of missing the Week 15 game against the Buffalo Bills on Saturday unless he gets back to practice on Wednesday or Thursday. Raheem Mostert saw double-digit carries (11) for the first time since Week 8 and turned them into only 37 rushing yard in Week 14, adding one catch for seven yards. If Wilson is unable to play this weekend, Mostert should operate as the primary RB for Miami and would on the RB2/3 borderline in a tough matchup against the Bills. Myles Gaskin and Salvon Ahmed would be battling for backup duties.

Jeff Wilson Jr. Listed As Day-To-Day
Miami Dolphins running back Jeff Wilson Jr. (hip) is listed as day-to-day, according to head coach Mike McDaniel. The coach said that Wilson's test results "are more positive than the worst-case scenario it could have been. We have avoided the worst-case scenarios for sure." It doesn't mean that Wilson won't miss any time after he was hurt in the second quarter of the Sunday night loss to the Los Angeles Chargers, but it good news overall. If Wilson isn't able to play in Week 15 against the Buffalo Bills, Raheem Mostert would receive a fantasy boost as the likely backfield leader. Salvon Ahmed and Myles Gaskin would also have elevated roles. Mostert finished with a team-high 11 carries for 37 yards and also caught his only target for seven yards in the passing game.

Jeff Wilson Jr. Won't Return On Sunday Night
Miami Dolphins running back Jeff Wilson Jr. (hip) won't return to Sunday night's meeting with the Los Angeles Chargers. The 26-year-old walked off the field during the team's fifth possession and was eventually transported to the locker room on a cart because of a hip injury. Wilson's evening would end with four carries for 26 yards, a stat line amplified courtesy of a 20-yard carry in the second quarter. Raheem Mostert, who had been involved even before Wilson's injury, should become Miami's undisputed primary option out of the backfield for the rest of Week 14.

Dolphins Trade For Jeff Wilson Jr.
The Miami Dolphins acquired running back Jeff Wilson Jr. from the San Francisco 49ers on Tuesday in exchange for a fifth-round draft pick in 2023, according to a source. The move comes shortly after the Dolphins sent running back Chase Edmonds and two draft picks to the Denver Broncos for edge rusher Bradley Chubb. Both Raheem Mostert and Wilson spent time with Dolphins head coach Mike McDaniel in San Francisco. Wilson's fantasy value took a nosedive after the Niners acquired Christian McCaffrey, and although he'll likely be backing up Mostert in Miami, his rest-of-season outlook may have slightly improved. The 26-year-old had 92 carries for 468 yards (career-high 5.1 yards per carry) and two touchdowns on the ground, adding 10 catches for 91 yards through the air, in eight games in 2022. Wilson should slot in behind Mostert and ahead of Salvon Ahmed and Myles Gaskin in Miami.

Jeff Wilson Jr. Drawing Trade Interest
The San Francisco 49ers are reportedly receiving calls inquiring about the availability of running back Jeff Wilson Jr. The 49ers acquired superstar Christian McCaffrey ahead of Week 7, and with Elijah Mitchell (knee) expected to return within the next few weeks, Wilson is likely to be the odd man out in San Francisco. Wilson has proven to be effective when healthy, so it does not come as a surprise that teams around the league are interested in his services. Fantasy managers should try to hold on to Wilson through the league's November first deadline as a trade could greatly improve his rest-of-season outlook.

Elijah Mitchell Won't Need Surgery, Jeff Wilson Jr. Now No. 1
San Francisco 49ers head coach Kyle Shanahan said that running back Elijah Mitchell (knee) will miss roughly eight weeks with an MCL sprain that he suffered in the second quarter of the Week 1 loss to the Chicago Bears. Mitchell won't need surgery, but he was placed on Injured Reserve on Monday. Jeff Wilson Jr. becomes the team's top back, while rookies Tyrion Davis-Price and Jordan Mason will compete in practices for the No. 2 role. Mason had the edge in the season opener with Davis-Price being a healthy inactive, but that could change in the coming weeks. For now, Wilson should become a priority waiver-wire add in all fantasy leagues. He's currently rostered in only 17 percent of Yahoo leagues.
