Cardinals Add Corey Clement To Active Roster
Arizona Cardinals running back Corey Clement has been elevated to the 53-man roster in advance of Monday's clash with the 49ers. The 28-year-old has appeared in two games for Arizona this season. However, he spent nearly all of that time on special teams. The Cards recently parted ways with Eno Benjamin, who had served as the team's starter while James Conner was out with an injury. Yet, with Conner healthy and rookie Keaontay Ingram listed as the No. 2 option on the depth chart, Clement has little room to get involved, giving him no value on the fantasy end.

The Arizona Cardinals have signed free-agent running back Corey Clement to their practice squad. The team brought the former Eagle in for a workout and must have liked what they saw. After losing lead back James Conner and backup Darrel Williams on Sunday against the Eagles due to injuries, the team appears to be loading up on depth in case one or both players cannot suit up this week. The 27-year-old will join recently signed Ty'Son Williams as another option should they need to elevate someone for their Week 6 matchup with the Rams. It's unclear which of these two would be the primary backup behind Eno Benjamin, so both remain players to monitor until we know more about the health and pecking order in this backfield.
