  Jerick McKinnon Expected To Play

  Kansas City Chiefs running back Jerick McKinnon (hamstring) is expected to play against the Cincinnati Bengals, according to head coach Andy Reid. Rookie Isiah Pacheco has taken over the starting running back job in Kansas City, but McKinnon has deep-league flex value in PPR leagues. Clyde Edwards-Helaire (ankle) is out for at least another two weeks with an ankle injury, and it remains to be seen what impact Melvin Gordon III will have on this backfield after just signing to the practice squad this week.

  Jerick McKinnon, Kadarius Toney Won't Practice

  Kansas City Chiefs running back Jerick McKinnon (hamstring) and wide receiver Kadarius Toney (hamstring) won't practice on Thursday. Neither player has practiced yet this week, leaving their availability in question for this weekend's game against the Cincinnati Bengals. Toney would be in line to miss his second straight game. If McKinnon is out, Ronald Jones would have his biggest role of the season as the backup to rookie Isiah Pacheco. The Chiefs signed Melvin Gordon III this week as well, but he'll probably need some more time to learn the playbook. Toney, a former first-rounder, continues to be hampered by injuries early in his career.   Kansas City Chiefs running back Jerick McKinnon (hamstring) did not participate in the team's practice on Wednesday. McKinnon, who has mostly been utilized as a pass-catching option, has not yet missed a game this season. Rookie Isiah Pacheco should continue to handle the majority of carries regardless of McKinnon's status, but recent signee Melvin Gordon could be elevated to Kansas City's active roster if the 30-year-old is unable to suit up this week. Although Pacheco is likely the only back worth starting on Sunday against the Cincinnati Bengals, this could be a situation to monitor in PPR fantasy formats.

  Kansas City Chiefs running back Jerick McKinnon (hamstring, shoulder) is off the injury report ahead of Sunday night's meeting with the Chargers. The 30-year-old has only 337 total yards and a touchdown in 2022-23. With JuJu Smith-Schuster (concussion) sidelined in Week 11, McKinnon may see an extra pass of two out of the backfield. However, he probably won't be involved enough to make a difference for fantasy managers, which has been the norm all season.

  Kansas City Chiefs running back Jerick McKinnon (hamstring, shoulder) was limited Wednesday. He was limited in practice last with hamstring and shoulder issues but did suit up against the Jacksonville Jaguars. The 30-year-old had one rush for two yards and caught six of eight targets for 56 yards during Sunday's 27-17 win over Jacksonville. He continues to be used as a change of pace back, with 125 yards on 33 attempts while catching 25 passes for 212 yards and a touchdown over nine games in 2022. McKinnon is a borderline flex option against the Los Angeles Chargers in Week 11.

  Kansas City Chiefs running back Jerick McKinnon (hamstring, knee, shoulder), who was listed as questionable, is active for the Week 10 game against the Jacksonville Jaguars. McKinnon will play and continue to be part of a frustrating three-headed committee backfield in Kansas City. The 30-year-old has seen just seven carries in the last three games, although he does have 11 receptions for 105 yards as well. Clyde-Edwards Helaire and Isiah Pacheco will continue to be involved, which will limit McKinnon's opportunities and make him a tough-to-trust RB3/flex in deep PPR leagues. McKinnon has 32 carries for 123 yards and no touchdowns on the ground and 19 receptions for 156 yards and one touchdown in eight games in 2022.

  Jerick McKinnon Listed As Questionable

  Kansas City Chiefs running back Jerick McKinnon (knee, shoulder) is listed as questionable for Week 10 against the Jacksonville Jaguars. McKinnon hasn't seen more than three carries in any of the last three games into what has evolved into a frustrating three-back committee in Kansas City, involving McKinnon, Clyde Edwards-Helaire and Isiah Pacheco. If McKinnon isn't cleared to play against Jacksonville on Sunday, Edwards-Helaire and Pacheco would see more snaps and touches. Receiver Mecole Hardman (abdomen) has been ruled out, so there will be more opportunities in an explosive Chiefs offense if McKinnon is out as well. McKinnon is really only relevant in PPR leagues as an RB3/flex when active.

  Jerick McKinnon Misses Practice With Injury

  Kansas City Chiefs running back Jerick McKinnon (hamstring) missed training camp practice on Wednesday with a strained hamstring. It remains to be seen if McKinnon will be able to suit up for the team's second preseason game this Saturday against the Washington Commanders. With McKinnon currently sidelined, rookie Isiah Pacheco and Ronald Jones will see more work behind starter Clyde Edwards-Helaire in camp. McKinnon is currently listed as the No. 2 behind Edwards-Helaire on the Chiefs' depth chart, but Pacheco has been very impressive this summer and might have earned himself a role behind CEH early in the year. In his first year in KC in 2021, McKinnon only had 12 carries for 62 yards and caught 13 passes for 107 yards and one touchdown in 13 regular season games.
