Kyle Juszczyk Expected To Miss Week 8 After Having Surgery
San Francisco 49ers fullback Kyle Juszczyk (finger) had surgery on his broken right finger on Monday and is expected to miss the Week 8 contest versus the division-rival Los Angeles Rams. Juszczyk suffered the broken finger in the Week 7 loss to the Kansas City Chiefs, but he was able to finish out the game. He'll likely miss this weekend's game, but then the Niners have their bye in Week 9, so there's a chance that the fullback will be ready to play in Week 10 against the Los Angeles Chargers. The absence of Juszczyk will be a slight downgrade for running backs Christian McCaffrey and Jeff Wilson Jr. in Week 8 in a tough matchup against the Rams D. The 31-year-old Juszczyk isn't fantasy relevant with 11 catches on 15 targets for 153 yards and no touchdowns through seven games.
