Cole Beasley Signed To Active Roster

The Buffalo Bills signed wide receiver Cole Beasley from the practice squad to the active 53-man roster on Thursday. In a corresponding move, the team released offensive lineman Justin Murray. The 33-year-old veteran slot man was brought in late this year for receiver depth and saw action in Weeks 15 and 16, catching both of his targets for 18 yards on a grand total of 17 offensive snaps. Beasley has plenty of chemistry with quarterback Josh Allen, but he's unlikely to see much time on the field in the wild-card game this Sunday against the Miami Dolphins behind the likes of Stefon Diggs, Gabe Davis, Isaiah McKenzie and rookie Khalil Shakir.

Cole Beasley To Be Active Again In Week 17

The Buffalo Bills elevated wide receiver Cole Beasley and offensive lineman Alec Anderson from the practice squad to the active roster for the Monday night game against the Cincinnati Bengals in Week 17. The 33-year-old will play in his third straight game for the Bills, but he hasn't been much of a factor so far despite having plenty of chemistry with quarterback Josh Allen. In Weeks 15 and 16, Beasley caught both of his targets for 18 yards, playing just 17 total offensive snaps. Monday's game between two AFC powerhouses could easily be a high-scoring one, but Beasley is unlikely to be on the field enough or draw enough targets to be a viable DFS or season-long play.

Bills Elevate Cole Beasley To Active Roster

The Buffalo Bills elevated wide receiver Cole Beasley and defensive end Kingsley Jonathan from the practice squad to the active roster on Friday for the Week 16 game against the Chicago Bears on Saturday. Beasley was active for the first time this year for the Bills in last Saturday's win over the Miami Dolphins and caught his only target for a nine-yard gain on 11 total offensive snaps. The 33-year-old veteran has plenty of chemistry with quarterback Josh Allen, but he'll likely remain behind both Isaiah McKenzie and rookie Khalil Shakir in the slot for Buffalo, making him impossible to trust for fantasy purposes. In two games with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in Weeks 3 and 4, Beasley caught four of his five targets for 17 yards.

Cole Beasley Elevated To Active Roster For Week 15

Buffalo Bills wide receiver Cole Beasley was elevated from the practice squad to the active roster ahead of Sunday's meeting against Miami. The 33-year-old recently came out of retirement to join his former team, so he may not see a lot of work. That said, there's a chance he may get some short throws from Josh Allen out of the slot, considering the wintry weather in Buffalo.

Bills Expected To Add Cole Beasley

The Buffalo Bills are expected to sign free agent Cole Beasley to bolster their receiving corps. They lured the 33-year-old out of retirement for the opportunity to join a contending team with super bowl aspirations. The move will mean more for quarterback Josh Allen than it will for the former Bill himself, adding another reliable option, especially on third downs. It's unlikely he'll possess much fantasy football value or significantly impact Stefon Diggs or Gabe Davis. However, he may take snaps away from Isaiah McKenzie or Khalil Shakir, making him a potential stash in deeper leagues, assuming he's active on game day.

    Cole Beasley To Retire

Tampa Bay Buccaneers wide receiver Cole Beasley has decided to retire, effective immediately, according to his agents Joel and Justin Turner. "He is ready to be with his family after playing in 11 seasons and it's time to be a full time dad and husband," his agents said in a statement. The Bucs brought Beasley in recently due to injuries to most of their receiving corps, but they are getting healthier and Mike Evans also returned from his one-game suspension last week, so Beasley isn't really needed anymore. The 33-year-old will wrap up his 11-year NFL career with 554 catches on 780 targets for 5,726 yards and 34 touchdowns in 151 games (50 starts) with the Bucs, Cowboys and Bills. He spent the first seven years of his career in Dallas before playing three seasons in Buffalo.

Cole Beasley Elevated To Active Roster

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers elevated wide receiver Cole Beasley from the practice squad to their active roster on Saturday ahead of the Week 3 game against the Green Bay Packers on Sunday. The Bucs are decimated by injuries at the receiver position, and No. 1 receiver Mike Evans is also suspended for this weekend's game, so Beasley could actually play a limited role against Green Bay after just signing to the practice squad this week. If Julio Jones (knee), who is listed as questionable, cannot play, the Bucs will likely have Russell Gage, Breshad Perriman and Scotty Miller as their top three wideouts for quarterback Tom Brady this weekend. The 33-year-old Beasley will give Tampa some depth for the time being, but he's not worth a waiver-wire pickup at this time.

    Buccaneers Add Cole Beasley

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have decided to add veteran wide receiver Cole Beasley to their receiving corps. With Chris Godwin (hamstring) still sidelined, Julio Jones (knee) battling an injury, and Mike Evans now suspended for one game, they are in desperate need of offensive playmakers. The 33-year-old is a reliable third-down pass-catcher coming off a successful season in Buffalo, finishing with 82 receptions for 693 yards and one touchdown in 2021. His arrival helps the value of Tom Brady, who has been abysmal for fantasy football over the first two weeks, frequently frustrated by the team's inability to sustain drives. Assuming Beasley suits up Sunday against the Packers, he would compete with Russell Gage and Jones if he's active to be the top option, making him an intriguing flex play, especially in full-PPR leagues.
