Report: Steelers DE Chris Wormley (ACL) done for season
Pittsburgh Steelers defensive end Chris Wormley will miss the rest of the season with a torn ACL, NFL Network reported Tuesday. Steelers coach Mike Tomlin said at a press conference that Wormley needs surgery and referred to the injury as "significant." Wormley, 29, was injured during Sunday's 16-14 loss to the Baltimore Ravens. He immediately reached for his left knee after a play. Wormley has 29 tackles -- including three for loss -- in 13 games (one start) this season. He is slated to be a free agent following the season. Wormley had a career-high seven sacks for Pittsburgh in 2021 during his second season with the squad. In six NFL seasons, Wormley had 142 tackles, 14 stops for loss, 11 sacks, two forced fumbles and one fumble recovery in 80 games (31 starts) with the Ravens (2017-19) and Steelers. --Field Level Media
