Freddy Peralta Will Start Sunday Vs. Cincinnati
Milwaukee Brewers starting pitcher Freddy Peralta (shoulder) will return to the team on Sunday and start against the Cincinnati Reds. The 26-year-old hurler has been out since September 8 with right shoulder inflammation so he will be on a strict pitch count, according to manager Craig Counsell. Shoulder injuries have limited Peralta to just 15 starts on the season but he's been pretty reliable whenever he takes the mound. He owns a 4-3 record, 3.45 ERA, 1.02 WHIP, and 76:25 K/BB ratio over 70 1/3 innings.

Freddy Peralta Could Return This Weekend
Milwaukee Brewers skipper Craig Counsell said that right-hander Freddy Peralta (shoulder) could return from the injured list to rejoin the starting rotation this weekend against the Cincinnati Reds. Peralta is currently listed as TBA for Sunday's contest. The 26-year-old has been out since Sept. 8 when he began experiencing fatigue in his right shoulder. But it sounds like he's nearing a return to the Brewers' rotation, and he can help fantasy managers down the stretch. Before his injury, Peralta was 4-3 with a 3.45 ERA (3.07 FIP), a 1.02 WHIP and a 76:25 K:BB in 70 1/3 innings over his 15 starts for the Brew Crew. The Reds would also be a nice return matchup, although it's unclear if Peralta would be on a limited pitch count in his first start back.

Freddy Peralta Throws Off Mound Monday
Milwaukee Brewers right-hander Freddy Peralta (shoulder) threw off a mound on Monday in a significant step in his recovery. Peralta was able to throw off flat ground on Saturday, so this is another step as he tries to return to Milwaukee's starting rotation to close out the year. The 26-year-old has been on the injured list for over a week with right shoulder fatigue, but he's clearly making progress. The Brewers expect Peralta to make it back before the end of the regular season, barring a setback. However, even if he does, time is running out for him to make an impact for fantasy managers. Peralta is 4-3 on the year with a 3.45 ERA (3.06 FIP), a 1.02 WHIP and a 76:25 K:BB over 70 1/3 innings and 15 starts.

Freddy Peralta Heading Back To Injured List
Milwaukee Brewers manager Craig Counsell stated after Thursday's doubleheader that starting pitcher Freddy Peralta will be placed on the injured list after he left his start early with shoulder fatigue. Counsell mentioned that he had no new symptoms, but the fatigue was a continuation of what he's experienced in his recent outings. This trip to the IL could put a nail in the coffin of Peralta's 2022 campaign where he's tossed just 70 1/3 IP to a 3.45 ERA and 1.02 WHIP. An official move will be made on Friday, so managers who need the roster space down the stretch run can afford to cut ties with the 26-year-old.

Freddy Peralta Exits Early With Shoulder Fatigue
Milwaukee Brewers starting pitcher Freddy Peralta (shoulder) left his start early in the third inning on Thursday against the San Francisco Giants with right shoulder fatigue, according to the team. In his two innings before departing, Peralta didn't allow a run or a hit while walking two and striking out three. Given the fact that he already missed 10 weeks of the season with a right shoulder strain, there's a pretty good chance we won't see him again in 2022. Heading into Thursday's outing, the 26-year-old Dominican had gone 4-3 with a 3.56 ERA (3.07 FIP), a 1.02 WHIP, 73 strikeouts and 23 walks in 68 1/3 innings over 14 starts. Check back for more updates on Peralta's timetable, but fantasy managers should make plans for the worst-case scenario.
