  DJ LeMahieu Traveling To Cleveland

  New York Yankees infielder DJ LeMahieu (toe) will travel with the team to Cleveland for the American League Division Series this weekend with the hopes of being activated if the team advances to the AL Championship Series next week. The Yankees say that he's dealing with a ligament injury to his right second toe, not a fracture. LeMahieu returned for the final series of the regular season, but he still wasn't 100 percent and was left off the roster for the ALDS. Getting him back would be a big boost for an already strong Yankees lineup. In 467 at-bats for the Yanks in 2022, the 34-year-old veteran infielder slashed .261/.357/.377 with 12 home runs, 46 RBI, 74 runs scored and four stolen bases in his 125 games. The three-time All-Star is an excellent catalyst at the top of their lineup when healthy.

  DJ LeMahieu Not On ALDS Roster

  New York Yankees infielder DJ LeMahieu (toe) has been left off the roster for the American League Division Series against the Cleveland Guardians this week. LeMahieu returned from the injured list from a right toe injury at the tail end of the regular season, but apparently he's still not fully recovered from the injury. Instead, the Yankees will take infielder Matt Carpenter (foot), who hasn't played since Aug. 8 due to a fractured foot. LeMahieu could need offseason surgery on his toe, so he probably won't be an option for their roster if they advance to the AL Championship Series next week. In addition to Carpenter, Oswaldo Cabrera will be another infield option for the Yankees off the bench this week.

  DJ LeMahieu Starting At Third Base Friday

  New York Yankees infielder DJ LeMahieu (toe) was activated from the 10-day injured list on Friday and is starting at third base and hitting fifth against the Baltimore Orioles and right-hander Jordan Lyles. It's a bit of a surprise that the 34-year-old is back in the lineup right away, and fantasy managers shouldn't expect him to play every game from now until the end of the regular season next week.   DJ LeMahieu To Be Activated Friday

  New York Yankees infielder DJ LeMahieu (toe) will be activated from the 10-day injured list to face the Baltimore Orioles on Friday, according to skipper Aaron Boone. With the Yankees clinching the American League East division on Tuesday night, the team is going to ease LeMahieu into action so that he's ready to go for their postseason run. It means that the 34-year-old might not play every day for the rest of the regular season. He'll be returning to a .262/.358/.381 slash line with 12 home runs, 46 RBI, 74 runs scored and four stolen bases in his 523 plate appearances over 120 games. The three-time All-Star hasn't played in a big-league game since Sept. 4, so there could be some rust involved as well.

  DJ LeMahieu Could Return Wednesday

  New York Yankees infielder DJ LeMahieu (toe) could be activated from the injured list on Wednesday, according to skipper Aaron Boone. The series against the Baltimore Orioles is a possibility, but Boone also said "we're about at that point of, let's go give this thing a go." LeMahieu hasn't played for the Yankees since Sept. 4, but it looks like the team will test him out to close out the regular season. He has been dealing with toe inflammation since the beginning of the month. Fantasy managers shouldn't expect the 34-year-old veteran to make much noise the rest of the way, especially since he's unlikely to be in the lineup every day.   DJ LeMahieu Expects To Return To The Lineup Thursday

  New York Yankees second baseman DJ LeMahieu (toe) will not be in the starting lineup for Wednesday's game against the Tampa Bay Rays. The 34-year-old is currently dealing with inflammation of his right big toe. This will be his fourth consecutive game out of the starting lineup. However, according to Yankees reporter Lindsey Adler, LeMahieu will be available off the bench for Wednesday's game. Adler also reported that LeMahieu expects he'll be back in the starting lineup on Thursday.
