Reports: Pirates OF Bryan Reynolds requests trade
Pittsburgh Pirates outfielder Bryan Reynolds has requested a trade, multiple outlets reported Saturday. Reynolds, 27, was an All-Star in 2021 and batted .262 with a career-high 27 home runs in 2022. Reynolds will almost certainly attract interest if the Pirates grant his request. He will earn $6.75 million in 2023, is arbitration-eligible in 2024 and 2025 and won't be a free agent until 2026. Through four seasons with Pittsburgh, Reynolds is a .281/.361/.481 hitter with 74 homers and 239 RBIs in 494 games. The Pirates lost 100-plus games for the second straight season in 2022 and have not been to the playoffs since 2015. --Field Level Media
