Canadian-born Connor McDavid plays ice hockey professionally and serves as captain of the National Hockey League’s Edmonton Oilers (NHL). McDavid, who was born in Richmond Hill, Ontario, on January 13, 1997, is considered to be among the world’s greatest hockey players. The Edmonton Oilers picked him first overall in the 2015 NHL Entry Draft.<\/p>\n

On the ice, McDavid’s remarkable speed, skill, and vision define his playing style. Throughout his career, he has received several honors, including as the Art Ross Trophy as the league’s top scorer and the Hart Memorial Trophy as the NHL’s most valuable player.<\/p>\n
