American professional ice hockey defenceman Sam Malinski was born on July 27, 1998, and is presently a member of the National Hockey League (NHL) Colorado Avalanche. As a senior, he led the Cornell University team as captain and was an All-American.<\/p>\n

On March 30, 2023, he was signed by the Colorado Avalanche to a two-year, entry-level contract after an impressive career at Cornell. Shortly after, he made his professional debut with the Colorado Eagles, the Avalanche’s AHL affiliate, and joined the team on a professional try-out basis for the rest of the season.<\/p>\n
