The first offensive lineman chosen in the NFL Draft of 2024 was Joe Alt. Rather than go to Detroit to witness the draft, the former outstanding player for Notre Dame chose to stay home.<\/p>\n

With their fifth overall draft choice this year, the Los Angeles Chargers chose Alt. The Chargers were chosen, as announced by NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell. Then the cameras cut to Alt, who was encircled by friends and relatives. However, videos of Alt’s girlfriend’s response to the moment that changed her life started making the rounds on social media.<\/p>\n
