Born on May 20, 2005, Easton Cowan plays junior ice hockey in Canada for the London Knights of the Ontario Hockey League (OHL). He is a prospect for the National Hockey League (NHL) team, the Toronto Maple Leafs. The Maple Leafs selected Cowan with the 28th pick overall in the first round of the 2023 NHL Entry Draft.<\/p>\n

The Toronto Maple Leafs picked Cowan in the first round of the 2023 NHL Entry Draft, 28th overall, during his first season of eligibility. On August 10, 2023, he signed an entry-level three-year deal with the Maple Leafs during the off-season. When Cowan collected 68 points in 36 straight games during the 2023\u201324 OHL season, he broke the London Knights franchise record.<\/p>\n
