On April 19, 2017, Kampf exercised his option to re-sign with Chomutov for one extra year, amid rumors of NHL interest. Kampf did, however, agree to exercise an out-clause in his contract on May 1, 2017, when he signed a two-year, entry-level deal with the Chicago Blackhawks.<\/p>\n

Kampf made his NHL debut on December 28, 2017, and on January 12, 2018, he scored his first goal in an eventual 2-1 victory over the Winnipeg Jets during the 2017\u201318 campaign.<\/p>\n
