In an exciting final for the NCAA Gymnastics Championship, LSU won its first-ever national championship. Olivia Dunne, a senior star who was unintentionally benched for the game, was not present for the Tigers’ victory.<\/p>\n

There was fierce competition and outstanding play throughout the Tigers’ path to triumph. After Utah temporarily pulled ahead after the first two rotations, LSU took the lead again on the beam with a solid finish. Five Tiger gymnasts secured the team’s victory in the fourth and final rotation with scores of 9.9 or higher.<\/p>\n
