When Alex Pereira created UFC history towards the end of last year, it appeared like he had the love of his life by his side.<\/p>\n

In November of last year, after defeating Jiri Prochazka in the second round of their Madison Square Garden brawl, the Brazilian bruiser became the fastest person in UFC history to win two weight titles.<\/p>\n

Merle Christine, Pereira’s then-fiance, was there to support him, just as she had when he defeated Israel Adesanya to win middleweight gold in the same arena a year earlier.<\/p>\n
