Justin Joseph Jackson, born on April 22, 1996, is a retired American professional football running back. His career began when drafted by the Los Angeles Chargers in the seventh round of the 2018 NFL Draft. After various stints on the practice squad, Jackson showcased his skills, earning his first rushing touchdown in 2018. In the 2019 season, he recorded 200 rushing yards in seven games. In 2020, as the Chargers’ No. 2 running back, Jackson faced setbacks with a knee injury but rebounded with notable performances, including a 104-yard scrimmage against the Chiefs. The season concluded with 270 rushing yards and 173 receiving yards.<\/p>\n
Jackson’s 2021 season highlighted career highs, accumulating 542 all-purpose yards. Despite his success, he signed with the Detroit Lions in August 2022. After re-signing with the Lions in July 2023, Jackson announced his retirement on August 10, 2023.
