Antoine Green, born on November 15, 1999, is an American football wide receiver currently playing for the Detroit Lions in the NFL. His collegiate journey began at North Carolina, where, as a freshman in 2018, he contributed to the team with four receptions for 45 yards in five games. Unfortunately, his season was cut short due to a leg injury in October 2018. In subsequent years, Green demonstrated his resilience, appearing in 10 games as a sophomore with eight receptions for 217 yards and two touchdowns. In 2021, as a senior, he started all 13 games, ranking second on the team with 31 receptions, 612 receiving yards, and five touchdowns. Notably, he boasted an impressive average of 19.7 yards per reception, placing him among the top in the ACC and nationally.<\/p>\n
Despite a collarbone injury in the preseason of 2022, Green returned as a fifth-year senior, making eight starts in nine games, accumulating 43 receptions, 798 yards, and seven touchdowns. Following his standout season, he earned the distinction of being named third-team All-ACC. In the 2023 NFL Draft, Green was selected by the Detroit Lions in the seventh round, 219th overall, marking the beginning of his professional football career.<\/p>\n
