Giancarlo Stanton was referred to as injury-prone by Cashman at an hour-long press conference, and he stated that being hurt &#8220;seems to be part of his game.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Stanton&#8217;s agent, Joel Wolfe, responded to Cashman&#8217;s remarks by telling The Athletic that players in New York must be Teflon, both mentally and physically. But Stanton arrived in Tampa a smaller, more slender man. Stanton is nearly built of stone, so there has never been any doubt about his physical condition, but the team and he agreed that it was crucial for him to lose weight because the majority of his soft-tissue, lower-body ailments in recent years have been tied to this area.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBe a baseball player again,\u201d Stanton said at his locker at Steinbrenner Field. \u201cI just needed to be more mobile.
