Ali Krieger talked about how it was “devastating” to learn that her marriage to Ashlyn Harris had ended, and how she is now beginning the process of healing.<\/p>\n

In a cover story for Self, the USWNT icon, who announced her retirement from professional soccer on Nov. 11 after helping NJ\/NY Gotham FC win its first NWSL championship, was open and honest about her first public divorce.<\/p>\n

Krieger declared, “I’m actually in a healthy space,” following a tumultuous year that saw many speculate that her marriage terminated because of adultery. \u201cI\u2019m still processing everything in real-time.<\/em><\/p>\n
