Kathryn\u00a0Tappen has worked as a journalist for more than 20 years.<\/p>\n

The NBC Sports reporter covers the sidelines of the biggest college football games and even makes Olympic calls.<\/p>\n

The 42-year-old began participating in a variety of activities at an early age, which sparked her love of sports.<\/p>\n

Because there were no girl’s teams, she even participated on the boy’s young baseball and basketball teams.<\/p>\n

Tappen also participated in tennis, golf, and track.<\/p>\n
