In June 2022, Shakira and Gerard Pique made their separation official through their PR firm.<\/p>\n

“We regret to confirm that we are separating. For the well-being of our children, who are our top priority, we ask for respect for their privacy. Thank you for your understanding,”<\/em> read the statement.<\/p>\n

Since then, the couple has had several meetings where they have had to make decisions that are typical of a divorce, such as where the kids will live or what kind of custody they will share: “They are complying with the separation agreement to the letter, there is no longer any discussion or problem,” <\/em><\/em>according to Shakira’s immediate group, as Vanitatis magazine stated.<\/div>\n
