The head coach of the National Football League’s Jacksonville Jaguars is former quarterback and current American football coach Doug Pederson. Doug, who played for the Green Bay Packers and was a member of the squad that won the Super Bowl in Super Bowl XXXI, spent the majority of his 13-season playing career serving as Brett Favre’s backup. Prior to his retirement in 2004, he started for the Cleveland Browns and Philadelphia Eagles as a starter and served as Dan Marino’s backup on the Miami Dolphins.<\/p>\n

From 2009 until 2012, Doug worked as an assistant coach for the Eagles under Andy Reid. Following Reid as Kansas City Chiefs head coach in 2013, Doug took over as the team’s offensive coordinator. In 2016, he took over as the Eagles’ head coach again after a five-season absence. His greatest accomplishment was leading the team to its first Super Bowl victory in Super Bowl LII of 2017, making him one of only four people to do so while also serving as the team’s head coach.<\/p>\n
