Chamberlain scored 100 points by making a field goal in the waning seconds of the game after shooting 36 for 63 from the field and 28 for 32 from the charity stripe. After the break, Bryant scored 55 of his 81 points, helping Los Angeles overcome an 18-point third-quarter deficit to win by the same amount. With 81 points, Kobe Bryant is in second place.<\/p>\n<p>The only other players in NBA history to score 70 points in a game were Chamberlain and Bryant. They were followed by David Thompson (73), Elgin Baylor (71), David Robinson (71), Donovan Mitchell (71), Damian Lillard (71), and Devin Booker (71).
