Blayre Turnbull led all scorers with two goals as Canada used a four-goal second period to fuel a 5-0 win over the U.S. to claim the Rivalry Series.<\/p>\n<h2>What is the Rivalry Series?<\/h2>\n<p>For the 2018\u201319 season, USA Hockey and Hockey Canada debuted the Rivalry Series. It provided a venue for the yearly meeting of the two dominant forces apart from other international tournaments.<\/p>\n<p>Three games between the women&#8217;s national teams were played in the event&#8217;s first year. That year, Team USA dominated, winning four out of the five games.<\/p>\n<p>Due to COVID-19, the series has not been played for the past two years.<\/p>\n<h2><strong>More about Team USA\u2019s roster for February Rivalry Series games<\/strong><\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>Five players are making their U.S. Women\u2019s National Team debut during February\u2019s Rivalry Series games: <strong>Emily Brown<\/strong>, <strong>Skylar Fontaine<\/strong>, <strong>Liz Schepers<\/strong>, <strong>Tatum Skaggs<\/strong> and <strong>Natalie Snodgrass.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Returning to the lineup are <strong>Clair DeGeorge<\/strong> and <strong>Becca Gilmore<\/strong>, who both skated in November\u2019s Rivalry Series games.<\/li>\n<li>Notably absent from U.S. roster for the February games is veteran captain <strong>Kendall Coyne Schofield<\/strong>, who\u2019s injured and will not participate. Five different cities from the United States and Canada will host a game for the series.
