The Cowboys and Quinn reached an agreement on a multi-year extension for him to stay on despite interest from other teams, owner Jerry Jones revealed to the Dallas Morning News last year. Quinn signed a contract last year for $4.5 million, according to Spotrac.<\/p>\n
That amounts to head coach pay. Quinn was able to select his next location on his own because he was financially secure and had a wide range of possibilities. In addition, many think Quinn will take over as head coach if Jerry Jones decides to replace McCarthy.
