In fact, things became so ugly that Bayless&#8217; co-host on Fox Sports&#8217; &#8220;Undisputed&#8221; skipped the next day&#8217;s broadcast. Shannon Sharpe didn&#8217;t do this the previous week. He has spent years sitting across from Skip Bayless, so he is familiar with what it&#8217;s like to do so. However, Smith felt that Bayless&#8217; absence just fueled the flames. Bayless insensitively questioned how the NFL could halt a game that would have affected the playoffs given that Hamlin&#8217;s condition was unclear at the time.
