The quarterback will replace Jalen Hurts who is unavailable due to a shoulder injury.<\/p>\n<p>Minshew will start his first game of the 2022-23 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nfl.com\/\">NFL<\/a> season this weekend and there is plenty of anticipation from the Eagles faithful to see how their backup quarterback will perform. Although Minshew has featured in three games for the Eagles this season, this will be the first time that he grabs the limelight as a starter.<\/p>\n<p>The Eagles have already made it to the postseason thanks to Hurts&#8217; heroics. They are currently the best team in the league with a 13-1 record after 14 games. The quarterback also has managed to record 516 rushing yards and one touchdown on the ground.<\/p>\n<p>Gardner Minshew made his debut in the NFL in 2019 with the Jacksonville Jaguars.
