The Rams hired McVay as their first head coach in 2017, but the hard work from the previous season has fallen apart in front of his eyes this season.<\/p>\n<h2>Coach Sean McVay,\u00a0Could Quit The NFL &amp; Make &#8220;A Bajillion Dollars&#8221; Through\u00a0Amazon<\/h2>\n<p>Before the season began, McVay was approached by Amazon and given a sizable offer to join their broadcasting crew, but he chose to stay with the Rams. McVay received only $8.5 million (\u00a37.1 million) year as opposed to the $20 million (\u00a316.75 million) that Amazon offered him, which may suddenly seem more alluring.<\/p>\n<p>One executive believes that McVay might now join Amazon after all because they would pay him outrageous amounts of money after he previously showed interest. &#8220;I think he goes to Amazon for a bajillion dollars because they wanted him before,&#8221; an exec said to the Athletic. &#8220;It will bring something sexy.&#8221;<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">The 49 will forever haunt Sean McVay.  <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/rgRIIQ5L19\">pic.twitter.com\/rgRIIQ5L19<\/a><\/p>\n<p>&mdash; \u1d4f\u02b8\u02e1\u1d49 (@49ersKyle) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/49ersKyle\/status\/1597027601708896256?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">November 28, 2022<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/p>\n<p>McVay, who is only 36, has a bright future in the industry regardless of the path he choose. However, given that the Rams head coach extended his contract after pledging allegiance to the team, Amazon may have to wait for their guy.<\/p>\n<p>The Rams moved quickly to get their act together and restrain McVay once more as there was interest from Amazon and significant figures floating around.
