Long-time owner Daniel Snyder has indicated that he is interested in selling the franchise as pressure from fans as well as fellow <a href=\"https:\/\/nfl.com\/\">NFL<\/a> team owners continue to mount.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Since the announcement was made, a number of wealthy individuals, including Jeff Bezos of Amazon, Mat Ishbia of United Wholesale Mortgage, and Byron Allen of the Allen Media group among others, have all expressed their interest in wanting to purchase the Commanders.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In a recent interview, long-time analyst Pete King shared his thoughts on who the NFL would like to buy the Commanders. He said,<\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> \u201cThere\u2019s a reason why the NFL was so aggressive in pursuing Amazon as the streaming partner for Thursday night. It is a very simple reason and a very simple fact of life in the NFL&#8230; NFL owners like the richest men in the world. They just do.&#8221;<\/span><\/i><br \/>\n<iframe title=\"YouTube video player\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/fy5qoBzdfOQ\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">King continued, <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cWhen there is one out there,who has some interest in joining your club in some way, the welcome mat goes out. And the welcome mat goes out so aggressively that it\u2019s just logical to think that the NFL would want Jeff Bezos to buy the team.\u201d<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n<h2><strong>A closer look at the sale of the Washington Commanders by Daniel Snyder\u00a0<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Daniel Snyder bought the team for a mind-boggling $800 million in 1999. At the time, the sum paid was the most expensive purchase of a sports team in the entire world. He does not really need to sell the team and therefore has all the time in the world to wait for the right buyer to show him exactly the sum he wants in order to buy the team.
