At the time, McCaffrey had built a solid reputation for himself by playing for two years for Standford. \u2018CMC\u2019 was expected to hit the ground running and improve the run game of the<a href=\"https:\/\/www.panthers.com\/\"> Panthers<\/a> who at the time were led by Cam Newton.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>https:\/\/twitter.com\/SadNinersFan_\/status\/1586080322109571074<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">McCaffrey blossomed as a player and quickly established himself as one of the best running backs in the league at Carolina. While speaking to the media, McCaffrey was asked if the move pissed him off. He said,<\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> \u201cI understand this is a business, but anytime somebody gets rid of you or something happens, you take it personally. I&#8217;m so happy to be here, but yeah, absolutely [I am]. It&#8217;s part of the league. I don&#8217;t try to put exterior pressure on me. I wanna win for this team, I wanna win for these guys, and I want to win for the whole Bay Area because they gave up a lot to get me and I know that. So, it&#8217;s not extra pressure, but there&#8217;s definitely a sense of urgency on my plate that I wanna win.&#8221;<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n<h2><strong>Christian McCaffrey faces the wrath of the fans\u00a0<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Obviously, Christian McCaffrey\u2019s comments did not sit well with fans who made fun of him not only for \u2018faking motivation\u2019 but also for being extremely injury-prone.
