Michael Gallup had to wait an extra week before he could rejoin the Dallas Cowboys. Despite a full week of practice as he recovers from a ruptured ACL in his left knee sustained in January, the team announced that Gallup was inactive for the Monday night game against the New York Giants.<\/p>\n

Gallup has participated in two fully padded practices over the last two weeks despite being rated as doubtful. Michael Gallup’s 2022 season debut against the New York Giants on Monday night appeared to be in the works. The Dallas Cowboys, though, decided to bench him for an additional week.<\/p>\n

Michael Gallup underwent knee surgery in the summer, and according to Mike McCarthy<\/a>, he is “close” to returning.<\/p>\n

“The biggest thing with Michael, he’ll get a bunch more work with (associate athletic trainer\/director of rehabilitation) Britt (Brown on Wednesday) because we’ll be in a walkthrough type setting coming off the late-night game,” <\/em>McCarthy said. “I know he’s close. But he’s just got to complete this process and hopefully, he’ll go against Washington (Sunday at AT&T Stadium).”<\/em><\/p>\n

Michael Gallup reveals why he didn’t play the Giants game<\/h2>\n

Michael Gallup explained why he didn’t wear a suit on Monday night while speaking with reporters on Wednesday. He actually merely felt off, it turned out.<\/p>\n

“I hope so. It\u2019s been a while,”<\/em> Gallup said,\u00a0via Jon Machota of The Athletic<\/a>.<\/p>\n

“Just have another good week, see what it feels like.”<\/em><\/p>\n

Cowboys WR Michael Gallup (knee) said he doesn\u2019t have any limitations, but he just didn\u2019t feel right last weekend. <\/p>\n
