TJ Watt, a brilliant defensive end for the Pittsburgh Steelers and the 2021 NFL Defensive Player of the Year, came perilously close to shattering Michael Strahan’s single-season sack record.<\/p>\n

However, Watt didn’t need 17 games to tie the record that had stood for 21 years. Due to an injury, he missed two games and sat out most of a third.<\/p>\n
