The Minnesota Vikings’ 2021 season can best be summed up in one word: mediocre. There were indicators of a strong squad there; star-wideout Justin Jefferson improved on his outstanding 2020 campaign in 2021, gridding his way to 1,616 receiving yards and 10 touchdowns and a second consecutive trip to the Pro Bowl.<\/p>\n

This season, Minnesota has new leadership. Kevin O’Connell, the former Rams offensive coordinator, has taken over as head coach in lieu of Mike Zimmer after eight seasons in that position. In addition to emerging talent Justin Jefferson<\/a> at wideout, quarterback Kirk Cousins<\/a> is returning for his fifth season leading the Vikings.<\/p>\n
