With every new quarterback contract extension, the numbers go up. The salary cap keeps rising and star quarterbacks want to leapfrog any previous deal in order to say that they’re the best-paid quarterbacks in the league, with records coming over and over.<\/strong><\/h1>\n

Kyler Murray<\/a> is the newest member of the group, signing a five-year, $231M contract extension with the Arizona Cardinals with just $1M more than Deshaun Watson’s deal with the Cleveland Browns back in March. Murray is now the second-best paid quarterback in the league with an average of $46,1M per season, losing only to Aaron Rodgers, who’s coming from back-to-back MVP seasons<\/a> and signed a new deal to remain with the Green Bay Packers in March.<\/strong><\/h2>\n

While every quarterback wants to get the bag, they should always remember that the salary cap is still there. More money for quarterbacks, less money for the rest of the team.<\/p>\n
