Most importantly, the NFL expects to generate $25 billion in revenue annually. At the league meetings in Orlando last month, Commissioner Roger Goodell reportedly told ownership about the revenue target, according to SportsBusiness Journal&#8217;s Daniel Kaplan. The projection indicates an increase of almost $1 billion a year on average.<\/p>\n<p>Given the concept of time worth of money, the amount isn&#8217;t quite as large as it seems. The league made $15 billion in 2019 and it appeared that they might hit the 2027 target. That is the portion of the league&#8217;s revenue that is distributed across the 32 teams. It comes to $343.75 million for each club.
