With a timing of 13:16 seconds in the 110-meter hurdles in Paris earlier this month, rookie wide receiver Devon Allen of the Philadelphia Eagles claimed another triumph on the Diamond League circuit. Now, on Sunday, Devon Allen qualified for the 2022 World Championships. At the USA Track and Field Outdoor Championships in Eugene, Oregon, Allen finished third in the 110-meter hurdles with a time of 13.09.<\/p>\n

Allen was behind gold medalist Daniel Roberts by 0.06 seconds. For Allen<\/a>, winning the bronze medal was at least sufficient to secure a position on Team USA for the global championships in July. With a time of 13.03 seconds, Daniel Roberts won the 110-meter hurdles competition. Trey Cunningham came in second (13.08).<\/p>\n

\"Devon<\/p>\n

The top three finishers in each event at the USATF Championships on Sunday at the University of Oregon in Eugene secured a spot at the 2022 World Championships. With so much success in athletics, which sport does Allen love? Football or Hurdles?<\/p>\n

\u201cI just like to play football,\u201d<\/em> Allen said in a recent interview<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\u201cIf I didn\u2019t have any knee injuries in college, I probably would have been in the NFL for five years by now. I probably would have just gone the draft route and found out what I could do in the off-season with track.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m doing pretty well for myself in track, so it\u2019s not it\u2019s not about the money. That\u2019s not a motivating factor at all. Since I was a little kid, I wanted to play in the NFL, and I got my opportunity.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n
