Justin Jefferson of the Minnesota Vikings<\/a> is off to a hot start in the NFL. But he’s not entirely happy. On Thursday, Jefferson informed NFL Network’s Patrick Claybon that he had his sights set on a gold jacket.<\/span><\/p>\n

“I mean, I have so many goals,” Jefferson stated on NFL Total Access. “I have an unending list of things I wish to do.” At the end of the day, I would like to be a member of the Baseball Hall of Fame. So, in order to achieve that position, there’s much more that I must achieve, so much more that I must set for myself in order to develop myself and truly learn. I really can’t wait to discover how far I can push myself. This is only the beginning of my career, and there’s so much more I need to learn, so much more I need to accomplish for myself to actually get on that platform of becoming a Hall of Famer.”<\/span><\/p>\n

Justin Jefferson’s incredible NFL stats so far<\/h3>\n

Since joining the league in 2020, Justin Jefferson has by far the most receiving yards<\/a> in a player’s initial two seasons in NFL history, with 3,016 yards. He was the only player in history to have 1,400 yards or more in every one of his first two seasons. He needs 1,148 yards in 2022 to break the NFL record for most yards in a player’s debut three seasons (Randy Moss: 4,163 yards from 1998-2000).<\/span><\/p>\n

With an average of 15.4 yards per reception, Jefferson has received 27.5 percent of his club’s targets since 2020, trailing just Davante Adams (29.7) and Stefon Diggs (27.7). With Kevin O’Connell as head coach, the Vikings are anticipated to emerge as a stronger pass-dominant club in 2022, which might push Jefferson’s stats even higher.<\/span><\/p>\n
