Deiveson Figueiredo reinstated himself as the UFC flyweight champion with a win over Brendan Moreno at UFC 270. \u2018The God of War\u2019 settled the trilogy by winning two of their three fights. However, after the win, Dana White stated that booking the two men for a fourth fight will be the most likely option given the controversy surrounding the decision of their fight at UFC 270.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\u2018Daico\u2019 did not see eye to eye with White on this. He insisted that Moreno\u2019s camp made racist remarks toward him which is why he did not want to face \u2018The Assassin Baby\u2019 for the fourth time. Rather, he wanted to take on Kai Kara-France as his next title defense. This was quickly shut down by the UFC<\/a> and Dana White.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The champion recently announced that he would be undergoing surgery, which meant that he would be out of action till December at the very least. The UFC therefore, set up an interim title fight between Brandon Moreno and Kai Kara-France for UFC 277. The champion was not pleased at the very least by this decision and in a recent interview voiced his frustrations about the same.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Deiveson Figueiredo right to be angry at the UFC?<\/strong><\/h2>\n

He said<\/a>, <\/span>\u201cI was upset, because I didn\u2019t expect this from the UFC. A few months ago I did the last fight and the event already puts an interim belt? I\u2019m in disbelief. I can prove it because I didn\u2019t accept the fight because of the injury and I would still question [the fight] for not being so close. I\u2019ve always provided great shows for the event and I feel undervalued for this interim belt.\u201d<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n

He continued,\u00a0 <\/span>\u201cI am very disappointed. I confess to you that I seriously think about leaving the category. Who saved this division was me, Henry Cejudo, and with this one from the UFC, I\u2019m honestly about to make decisions. I hope I don\u2019t take them, but if I do, I\u2019ll leave the division and go up to [135 pounds].\u201d<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n
