It appears as though 2022 will be a busy year for Alexander Volkanovski, the UFC\u2019s featherweight champion. \u2018The Great\u2019 recently defended his belt against \u2018The Korean Zombie\u2019 in one of the most dominant displays in a title fight in recent memory. Volkanovski was extremely vicious from the very first minute of the fight and piled on the pressure until the referee had to ultimately step in and call an end to the fight in the fourth round.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

After the fight, Volkanovski stated that he wanted a quick turnaround fight, and the UFC obliged by rescheduling the trilogy with Max Holloway at UFC<\/a> 276 in July. Max Holloway is a tough opponent for anyone at featherweight, but the champion has plans that go beyond \u2018Blessed\u2019.<\/span><\/p>\n

In a recent interview, Volkanovski shared his thoughts on what he wants after securing a win over Max Holloway at UFC 276. He said, <\/span>\u201cI am looking at the them (lightweights) and I see great opportunities. I don\u2019t care what people say\u2026 mate, I train with lightweights and welterweights as well I am used to big bodies. I am undefeated in these divisions. I don\u2019t look at this as that big of a challenge.\u201d<\/span><\/i>
