Brian Burns plays defensive end for the NFL’s Carolina Panthers in American football. The Panthers selected him in the first round of the 2019 NFL Draft after he played college football for Florida State. He made a commitment to play college football at Florida State University.

Burns participated in each of Florida State’s 13 games as a freshman in 2016 and finished first among all freshmen in the nation with 8.5 sacks. Burns made the decision to forego his senior year and join the 2019 NFL Draft after the season. In the 2019 NFL Draft, Burns was selected by the Carolina Panthers as the 16th overall pick.
