Fantasy NFL: DFS Lineup suggestion for Divisional Round

It’s the second week of the NFL playoffs and it’s the second week of DFS Fantasy Playoffs. The number of available players is shrinking every week now, so if you want to shoot for the stars, you need some risky plays to separate you from the rest of the field.

We have four games this weekend divided through Saturday and Sunday, with Tom Brady and Aaron Rodgers highlighting the second round of the playoffs. The Tennessee Titans and the Green Bay Packers arrive at the postseason, opening up our options for the final games of the season – however, as you’ll see, we didn’t pick players from any of these teams in our lineup suggestion.

Check out our DFS Fantasy suggestions for FanDuel and DraftKings in the Divisional Round of the NFL Playoffs:

QB: Joe Burrow (CIN) – vs. TEN

The Bengals have one of the best receiving trios in the whole league, while the Titans’ passing defense isn’t that great, even with safety Kevin Byard being one of the best in the league. I fully expect Cincinnati to score a lot of points in this game through their passing offense – they could’ve done a better job in the Wild Card Round against the Las Vegas Raiders, but they still deserve credit for all they did during this season. This is a good price in both DraftKings and FanDuel – yes, it might look strange to pick Burrow over Aaron Rodgers and Tom Brady, but this is a great matchup for the young quarterback, unlike the star veterans.

DK: $6,600 / FD: $7,700

RB: Jerick McKinnon (KC) – vs. BUF

Where did McKinnon came from? The running back stole the show last Sunday as Clyde Edwards-Helaire was out and Darrel Williams was nursing an injury by his own. McKinnon might be the unheralded piece this offense needs to reach their third straight Super Bowl, as his usage in the passing game makes him a fantastic player for just $4,800 in DraftKings. I love the cost of opportunity for Fantasy Football here.

DK: $4,800 / FD: $6,000

RB: Cam Akers (LAR) – vs. TB

Akers is also here because of his impact in the passing game – we know how valuable these things are for Fantasy, especially DFS. He returned to the lineup last week after his gruesome injury while in the offseason and looked as explosive as always, accounting for almost 100 scrimmage yards. While we don’t expect him to put the biggest numbers in the rushing game against the Buccaneers, he had a 40-yard reception last week, so we know the potential for a big play is there.

DK: $5,500 / FD: $5,700

WR: Stefon Diggs (BUF) – vs. KC

Diggs wasn’t much used last week, but he’s the number one receiver in Buffalo for a reason. Against a Chiefs’ passing defense that’s not nearly as strong as the same group from New England, whose the Bills shredded last week, I believe Diggs is in for a huge game here, especially considering Josh Allen’s late run of form. The price is amazing for what we’re expecting him to do – play him in both DraftKings and FanDuel.

DK: $6,500 / FD: $7,800

WR: Cooper Kupp (LAR) – vs. TB

Kupp was the best wide receiver in the NFL during the 2021 season and he’s facing a team that blitzes the highest rate in the entire league. No wide receiver in the entire NFL had a bigger target rate when his quarterback was blitzed than Kupp, with just over 40%. He’s produced a lot of fantasy points every week and he will repeat this feat against the Buccaneers.

DK: $8,600 / FD: $9,500

WR: Tyreek Hill (KC) – vs. BUF

Speaking of big play threats, what about the best in the league? Hill remains the same vertical threat we’ve seen for the past four years. He scored a touchdown against the Steelers and, in a game projected to become a shootout, the possibilities for him to shine are high. It depends on how you want to attack your players value-wise, because Davante Adams is also a notable player, but I feel really confident in this Diggs-Kupp-Hill trio.

DK: $6,600 / FD: $8,200

TE: Tyler Higbee (LAR) – vs. TB

Higbee is a consistent tight end whose cost is really low. He’s obviously not demanding a lot of targets in an offense that possesses Cooper Kupp and Odell Beckham Jr., but he still figures as a red zone threat who can score a touchdown and skyrocket in points in a big play through the middle of the field.

DK: $4,000 / FD: $5,400

D/ST: Cincinnati Bengals – vs. TEN

Tennessee’s offense is probably the worst group remaining in the Divisional Round teams, and we’re going to value play here. The Bengals’ defense boasts a good pass rush with an improved secondary who can force turnovers and take advantage of Ryan Tannehill in case the Titans’ offense becomes one-sided. At this price, pick him in both DraftKings and FanDuel.

DK: $2,700 / FD: $3,400

FLEX: Jauan Jennings, WR (SF) – vs. GB

George Kittle has been struggling to produce in the passing game recently, but the 49ers have been lucky with Jauan Jennings, who has picked up the slack. He’s the ultimate value pick here: he’s reliable and his usage in San Francisco’s offense is growing every week, while his price isn’t. I love this play right here, especially in a scenario where the 49ers’ fall early in the scoreboard and they have to change to a higher passing volume.

DK: $3,400 / FD: $5,000

Total budget: $48,700 of $50,000 (DraftKings), $58,700 of $60,000 (FanDuel)
