Fantasy Football: DFS Sleepers for Week 17

It’s time for another list of DFS Sleepers for Fantasy Football, as we get through the holidays. The NFL is two weeks away from starting their playoffs, so this will be the penultimate opportunity to find value and sleepers for your team before the list of players shrinks for only playoff teams.

In this article, you’ll get a quick breakdown of the matchup for all the players listed, plus their salaries in both DraftKings and FanDuel. Don’t forget that you can use our DFS Lineup Optimizer here at YebScore if you want to find out sleepers and the best possible lineups.

Check out a list of DFS Sleepers for Week 17 of the NFL season:

Tua Tagovailoa (MIA)

Tagovailoa’s season has been trending up since he returned from an injury and the Dolphins’ record improved as their offense changed to a quick-strike game to put their offensive line out of pressure. The second-year quarterback has been improving every week and merits consideration this weekend as he faces a Tennessee Titans defense that lost power over the second half of the season.

DK: $5,800 / FD: $6,700

Ronald Jones II (TB)

Jones will take on a much bigger role for the Buccaneers’ offense with Leonard Fournette out for the regular season. So why are we betting on him if he’s not really a sleeper? Well, Tampa Bay will play the New York Jets, and shouldn’t be so hard for the Bucs to open up a big difference on the score and then just give Jones the ball as they try to control the clock. More carries, more points. He scored against the Panthers last week and there’s the expectation of at least another score this time around.

DK: $6,300 / FD: $7,000

Boston Scott (PHI)

Scott should get the start for the Eagles with Miles Sanders and Jordan Howard both dealing with injuries for Week 17 game against Washington. He scored a touchdown against the New York Giants last week, and if you’ve watched the last Sunday Night Football, you know how Washington’s defense has looked recently. Scott is useful both in the running game and as a receiving threat, and merits consideration for a breakout game.

DK: $4,900 / FD: $6,000

DeVonta Smith (PHI)

Smith has quickly ascended as the main wide receiver for the Philadelphia Eagles because of how well he creates separation and his chemistry with Jalen Hurts developed quickly. The rookie has been a touchdown machine for the Eagles, again getting on the scoresheet on Sunday against the Giants. He had a nice game against Washington on Tuesday, December 21, and he’s primed to repeat a good performance against a defense that’s been really below average lately.

DK: $6,300 / FD: $6,100

Jaylen Waddle (MIA)

Waddle is a superstar in the league already, as the rookie boasts a playmaking potential that goes through the roof. He’s been Tagovailoa’s main target and this is a duo you should consider stacking, as Waddle can always break a big play and get a long touchdown for you – but he’s consistent enough to get a good amount of points for your fantasy team. Waddle is at Ja’Marr Chase level already.

DK: $6,700 / FD: $7,000

Gerald Everett (SEA)

Like most good tight ends, Everett has been kind of a security blanket for Russell Wilson, especially in the last game when Tyler Lockett was out dealing with COVID-19. He’s solid but unspectacular, but at this price, he merits consideration as a sleeper option in case you want to build your lineup with superstars in other positions. His impact in the passing game makes him a good option.

DK: $4,100 / FD: $5,200

Saints D/ST

If you watched the game between the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and the Carolina Panthers, then you know why you should consider the Saints defense: the Panthers’ offense really is that bad. But the Saints’ defense has been very good this season, even if the offense doesn’t help the team much. Look for them to grab two or three turnovers and even a score as they get Sam Darnold coming into town.

DK: $3,400 / FD: $4,700
