Patrick, Grace, and Kenzel Kelly, the couple’s children, came to Twitter on Wednesday to refute an ABC station WBRZ story that Kelly had filed for divorce. According to the source, which provided court documents, Kelly and Francisca, also known as Pacqui, have reconciled and want to ask for the case to be dismissed.

The pair was supposed to physically split on Thursday after the 61-year-old coach allegedly filed for divorce on Monday.

The court reportedly granted Kelly’s request for a temporary restraining order to safeguard his property and scheduled a hearing for March to decide who will be permitted to live in the couple’s East Lakeshore Drive house.

Patrick, a recruiting analyst for the LSU football team, posted a picture of his parents strolling hand-in-hand to a restaurant on Twitter along with the words “false news” and a pair of happy emojis.

Things seem fine to me, tweeted Grace, who also shared a different photo of her parents laughing and joking at the dinner table.

Three children of a well-known college football coach posting on Twitter in a 20-minute stretch to declare their parents are sticking together seems extremely weird.

Given that Brian Kelly filed a legitimate court application to divorce his wife, Patrick Kelly’s assertion that the information was “false news” is also not totally correct.

Let’s not ignore the fact that there is a more than 0% possibility Kelly filed for divorce without first alerting his family, and the local TV station broke the story before he could inform them.

Kelly and his wife, who married in July 1994, have not yet addressed the divorce report publicly.

Brian, who served as head football coach at Notre Dame for 12 years, joined the Tigers in November 2021, replacing their former coach, Ed Orgeron.
